Research Analyst – Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Research Analyst with a passion for sustainability and public affairs to contribute to an in-depth research report on Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).
Position Overview
The Research Analyst will play a pivotal role in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data related to the field of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). This position involves working closely with our research and policy teams to deliver a comprehensive and insightful report that will be accessible to both English and Chinese-speaking audiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background, fluency in both languages, and a keen interest in sustainability and public affairs. The research paper is to be completed in 6 months from commencement and the research analyst will be working closely with Taiwan aircraft operators to coordinate SAF initiatives and projects in collaboration with our sustainability team. The contract will be for 1 year with potential to extend depending on business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
● Conduct in-depth analysis of raw data related to Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), including feedstock supply chains, market trends, regulatory frameworks, and technological advancements.
● Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive research reports in both English and Chinese, ensuring the content is accessible to a diverse audience.
● Utilize modeling and conceptual mapping tools to create visual models, diagrams, and maps that effectively communicate key findings and insights.
● Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather relevant data and ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
● Stay informed on the latest developments in SAF, sustainability, and public policy to provide up-to-date and relevant analysis.
● Present findings to stakeholders, as written or verbal updates to seek feedback and Recommendations
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
● Proven experience in data analysis, in agriculture feedstock, supply chains, energy, transportation, or related sectors.
● Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin), with the ability to write professional reports in both languages.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
● Experience using modeling and conceptual mapping tools such as R, Python, Tableau, or similar software.
● Strong interest with sustainability topics, particularly in aviation or transportation, and an understanding of public affairs.
● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly and effectively.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
● Adherence to the highest standards of confidentiality and ethics & compliance
Preferred Qualifications
● Prior experience in the transportation or energy (fuels) industries or relevant research experience
● Experience working on public policy or with governmental agencies.
