JOB DESCRIPTION: ADMINISTRATIVE & FINANCIAL DIRECTOR (AFD)
REPORTING: AFD is under the direct management of the Head of School.
Recruitment, compensation and benefits and other HR-related aspects are under the responsibility of the board of LIFT
PROFILE:
• Full proficiency in English and Mandarin (mother tongue), French is a plus
• Highly autonomous, capable to set her/his own objectives, prioritize work
• Good communication and negotiation skills, capable to establish and maintain relationship with both foreign and local partners
• Strong organizational and project management skills are essential
• Methodical, analytical skills, being meticulous and paying great attention to details are a critical component of the position
• Ability to develop and document standard operating procedures
• Financial literacy, experienced in budget planning and monitoring
• Passionate about education and children development
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• More than 10 years with a Finance & Admin management position (with P&L responsibility)
• Experience in education is a strong plus
• Used to collaborate with a culturally diverse team , work in English (or French),
• Solid track record in planning, leading, and executing projects involving multiple stakeholders, demonstrating a high level of entrepreneurship and work autonomy
MISSIONS:
• FINANCE: Design and execute the school’s budget, investment plan, invoicing, payments collection, and maintain high quality accounting. Prepare reports (including but not limited to financials) for different stakeholders, including the board of LIFT, Bureau Français de Taipei (BFT), Taipei Educational Bureau (TEB), and others
• SCHOOL ADMIN: Liaise with LIFT local partners (Taiwanese authorities, local schools…) . Act as the interface with pupils’ parents for administrative related tasks. Source services providers for complementary services (catering, transportation), extracurricular activities, negotiate and contract.
• HR: : Recruit the non-teaching staff, build the team (team culture, communication and management tools) with multicultural and gender equity awareness. Supervise immigration processes and legal compliance of foreign staff residence in Taiwan.
• HEALTH & SECURITY: Monitoring CDC requirements guidelines and protocols. Contribute under the leadership
of the Head of School to ensure pupils’ and staff security and well-being at all times.
• SCHOOL GROWTH: Act as a project manager for LIFT novel projects of development with regards to administrative and financial matters, including the set-up of new entities, premises renovations and equipment.
• ADMISSION: Ensure that admission policy and annual admission targets are in line with financial and organization growth potential of LIFT. Meet with and inform prospective parents with the Head of School, maintain a close individual relationship with students’ parents.
• MARKETING: Contribute to manage the Marketing & communications officer, to build the LIFT brand, Contribute to draft and update a marketing strategy. Supervise budgeting and project management of the Marketing & Communications officer.
• COMPLIANCE: Design and document collectively in an evolving handbook, implement and control within a quality approach a set of managerial, operational and administrative processes and procedures underlying all finance, HR, IT, marketing, admission, security & hygiene, and facilities management operations of LIFT.
• FACILITIES: Manage the lease contract, lead waste management policy and process, responsible of hygiene on site, including management of cleaning services. Ensure that any reparation works and maintenance are conducted in due time, by contracting workers. Follow-up in close collaboration with the Head of School the renovation, decoration and equipment of the premises
• LEGAL: Ensure the legal due diligence of all LIFT activities against the laws and regulations of Taiwan
