The teams were to submit a quick video of any style, format, and esthetic that featured individuals or small student groups showcasing the positive learning environment of the IMBA program. The project allowed for flexibility and creativity for students to put together their projects - a refreshing activity amid a post-COVID-19 world where school activities, group gatherings, and social interaction are becoming more of a rarity. The competition was also motivated by the NT$30,000 for the winning team, however, there was an Aire of school and individual spirit and pride that everyone could sense in the ramp-up to the competition.
The competition spurned four teams:
1. R.A.Z.A. - or Regina Calix, Aileen Calix, Zsofi Ottoffy, and Alexa Folgar. All IMBA First-Year students with the exception of Regina who is Aileen's sister who helped with the video. The realistic day is captured smoothly in this video with some refreshing classmate feedback.

2. Magic Films, aka Vicky Herrera - an IMBA Second-Year submitted a solo-focused video. She enlisted the help of friend Carlos Garcia (Instagram: droningasia) for some awesome drone shots to capture the deep essence of finding your way in the video.

3. The Super Six - includes Francisco Lopez, Isaac Chua, Paul Huh, Allen Hsu, Charlotte Cambriel, Alice Huang, and Tigger (cat). This diverse group had a creative and fun take on the project showing many different perspectives.

4. GaPaoKai Films - an IMBA star-studded team including Chadrat 'Meaw' Phokhathanawat, and Sarat 'Zoom' Lompayen in featured roles; with Silitha Kasiwong, Pornpavee Chaiareekij, Tacha Tapaneeyakorn, and Chatwadee 'Namp' Manakitpaisan as Director, Co-Director, Production Manager, and Account Executive, respectively.

The videos really explored the personal, creative side of the IMBA students and was a fun and fulfilling experience. I gathered feedback from the participants. The full feedback can be found here.

What inspired you to make the video?
Vicky
"The video captures the life of a person who one day decides to step out of their comfort zone and move to Taiwan to pursue one of his/her professional dreams; study an IMBA. It also shows how the experience positively changes his/her life. I believe many people who decide to study again can [identify] with the situation and feel thankful for the relationships, the knowledge acquired, and the self-growth. This is basically what I have experienced during my stay in Taiwan as an IMBA student. The overall experience has been amazing and I wanted to inspire more people to join the IMBA Family and come to Taiwan."
What was the process like in making the video and what did you learn?
The Super Six
"It was a blur. We actually only spent around 10 days both shooting and editing the video, so it was tiring, especially the long hours editing. All six of us have very different schedules, so it was difficult to find time to gather and discuss our project; however, we made it work! A few of us learned new skills like how to use video editing software. Ultimately, the creative process was fun and rewarding, so whether we win any awards or not, we had a good time and the memories will always be with us."
What do you think makes your video unique?

"From the objective of telling a story within 3-5 minutes, we chose to capture the essence of the IMBA life, making it interesting both for current students and prospective students, so that they would enjoy watching the video and not get bored by it. We decided to make a V-log style for the video competition, as we believe that this is the best way to tell people about our IMBA NCCU experience. Moreover, we can have more creativity in editing the video, making the mood and tone more relaxed, funny, and interesting. In the video, we presented the IMBA student life through two different student characters. Because we were worried that 3 minutes would be too long, we used a well-rounded strategy by making the opening scene as a cut-down version. "
What is the overall message your group wants to say about the IMBA to potential students both international and local?
R.A.Z.A. "We want to encourage future MBA students to join this amazing program! It has given us the opportunity to grow our network, to know more about so many different cultures, and learn how to work with people all over the world. With the best in class professors and diverse pensum, we are able to enhance our skills and knowledge as managers while growing as a diverse student body that is not only full of professional classmates but also a family."
The IMBA held the voting ceremony on Wednesday May 27th. The final votes resulted in a winner of a NT$30,000 prize – Magic Films aka Vicky! The second-place winner was R.A.Z.A., and third place GaPaoKai. The celebration was setup and decorated in the Student Lounge complete with snacks, tea, and smiles. All team members received participation certificates as well as all received the Promotional Prize. Professor Vincent Chen and Shari Shang were among the judges and also were presenters of the awards. Many from the IMBA office and supporting students came to celebrate the teams. The feedback among the teams, students, and staff was overwhelmingly positive. It was apparent that we are all winners in the IMBA family, as professor Chen put it. What was most inspiring was the insider look at the motivations, inspirations, and overall feelings that the IMBA program participants share and how they will benefit from this opportunity for the rest of their lives. They come together for an educational experience and memories for a lifetime that is often not found in their home countries. The ‘Days of IMBA’ is quite a glimpse.
