【Job Opportunity】Junior Commercial Advisor with Focus on Renewable Energy to the Trade Council of Denmark, Taipei


The Trade Council of Denmark, Taipei is looking for a new colleague to join the Trade Council’s Commercial Department in a position as Junior Commercial Advisor, initially on a two-year-contract, with a special focus on Renewable Energy, including wind energy and waste-to-energy.

The Advisor’s role will be to promote and develop business opportunities for Danish companies in Taiwan. The Commercial Department provides advisory services to Danish companies on a consultancy basis. The Junior Commercial Advisor will be part of a team structure and with specific performance measures related to the ability to meet annual key performance indicators, specifically activity level and value delivered to clients.

Main Job Responsibilities
• Identify and describe local needs within the Renewable Energy sector and form strategic partnerships between companies from Denmark and Taiwan. 
• Materialize such needs into synergetic business models that benefit multiple stakeholders involved. 
• Build up strong local and Danish network, accessing decision makers in both public and private sectors.
• Build strong market intelligence in Taiwan and Denmark, in order to further create stakeholder mapping and corresponding strategies/engagement plan.
• Be able to take responsibility for an entire project life cycle alone, i.e. to create, pitch, sell, execute and complete it.
• Be able to hand-hold clients in business meetings starting from meeting booking & coordination, translation during meeting, debriefing to follow up.

Professional and Personal Qualifications
You have a strong interest in developing business opportunities for Danish companies interested in the Taiwanese market. Furthermore, you should have most of the below qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree, for example in engineering or environmental studies.
• As least two years working experiences.
• Knowledge of industry network and local stakeholders in the energy sector. 
• Understanding of and interest in the energy market in Taiwan, with special focus on wind energy and waste-to-energy.
• Self-starter who can work independently and also team work with both local and Danish partners.
• Strategic, problem-solving oriented, highly operational, and keen to contribute to the greater goods for the sustainable development goals.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Equipped with sales and international business development experience. 
• Good networking skills.
