IMBA Alumni Experience Sharing by Yolanda Chan, March 16

On March 16th, Yolanda Chan, IMBA 2013-entered alumnus, now Senior Manager, Greater China at Fidelity International, shared with around 25 IMBA and exchange students at IMBA Student Lounge, on how to face changes and deal with uncertainty, from her perspective and own experience.

Was a Journalist in Hong Kong before joined IMBA, in her IMBA journey and later when seeking for job opportunities, Yolanda encountered many challenges, and in the process, she found out that Resilience is the key to success. Another important practice is to be retrospective to continuously improve not only in the professional field but personal and social life. And finally, to Read, she adviced that when uncertainty is in our life to read Biography books of important people is a great source of motivation to find ways to success.

In the last part of the talk, Yolanda shared a deep thought that she has been applying in her life: “Be confident but not arrogant; be humble but do not underestimate yourself, be calm but no indifferent, and be kind but not fake.


This was a great opportunity for IMBA students to increase their networking as well as to cultivate soft skills that are essential in the professional fields.
