The International MBA (IMBA) program emphasizes cultivating potential elites from around the world in an international environment. IMBA is the first English-taught MBA program in Taiwan. With so many nationals wanting to travel abroad to receive their degree and many foreign nationals wanting to come to Asia, IMBA offers the perfect venue and the optimal international learning environment for both groups with English as the language of instruction.

View with an Asian Perspective |
The unique design of IMBA curriculum aims to provide students with a global view as well as an Asian perspective of the world's latest business trends. Students will acquire a foundational knowledge of managerial functions and from there, they may choose to further advance their studies in a selected area of concentration. Students have the option of specializing in Finance, Marketing, International Business, or Management in Asia. While all courses capture an international outlook of business as well as a focus on Asian businesses.

The IMBA program at the College of Commerce, NCCU, is conveniently located in the Wenshan district of Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan and the heart of Asia’s budding financial, commercial, and technological hub. Apart from being well known for its IT infrastructure and manufacturing prowess, as one of Asia’s Little Dragons, Taiwan is slated to be a catalyst in the future development and advancements in Asia. Half of our students and faculty are local Taiwanese citizens and the other half are from abroad, this represents a diverse mixture of people from more than 20 countries in 5 continents. Dual
Degree Program |
Our college has established a dual degree program with University of Washington, Seattle for students to apply. Students can spend a year at NCCU and another year at UW to obtain two masters degrees upon graduation. Students are then equipped with managerial skills and multilateral perspectives from trainings at the leading schools in the east and west.

Our college has strong ties with the industry and government, and has various collaborative researches with them. We invite experts from the business community to teach in courses based on their professional disciplines and hold seminars with top executives as guest speakers. Flexibility
in Study |
The IMBA program offers candidates the option to take either full-time or part-time studies. This flexible design allows candidates to decide on their workload and schedule to accommodate their busy careers. Most classes are conducted in the evenings and weekends. We also offer an array of courses for full-time students to involve themselves with. Completion of the IMBA program requires 42 credit hours and the program duration is between 2 year (minimum) and 5 years (maximum) with two years available to defer studies. The program also offers the flexibility of either doing a General MBA or a Specialized MBA in one of the four concentrations.

Generous Scholarships
and Tuition Waivers |
The IMBA program receives generous sponsorships from well-known corporations in Taiwan. Many of our sponsors subsequently offer scholarships to eligible students of both domestic and international applicants. In addition, the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers the Taiwan Scholarships for the international students to apply, while the International Cooperation and Development Fund of Taiwan offers many full-scholarships to qualified applicants from countries maintaining diplomatic ties with Taiwan.

Internships |
IMBA candidates are given the opportunity to strengthen their managerial skills and gain hands-on working experience through internships in local or foreign enterprises. These internships build students' industry knowledge and confidence to work on the world stage.

Field Trips |
Tours in Taiwan and overseas Asian countries are a true benefit of the IMBA program as students learn first hand from business professionals. IMBA offers several courses led field trips throughout Taiwan and at least 1 program-wide field trip each academic year.

Community Service |
In order fully appreciate the local culture of Taiwan, all IMBA candidates are required to complete a minimum of 45 hours of community service. This activity helps build a compassionate and understanding side with the community in hope that IMBA candidates fully appreciate what it means to be a global citizen and give back to the larger society.

Continuing
Education Opportunities |

In addition to offering excellent business courses within our program, the IMBA offers an integrated system of continuing education with the facilities and resources of our college. Our program allows for both current IMBA candidates and graduates to enroll in selected courses within our program and throughout the college of commerce on a non-matriculating basis to broaden their studies. Also, the IMBA program encourages prospective candidates to audit courses.
